Alkaloids are organic compounds that occur naturally in the kratom plant, and they’re the primary reason so many people are becoming interested in kratom. To be considered an alkaloid, something must produce physiological effects on human beings or other animals. It’s the physiological effects that kratom alkaloids are known for that make them so important to so many people.

According to The Journal of the American Osteopathic Association, kratom alkaloids can interact with the delta-opioid, kappa-opioid, and mu-opioid receptors in the human body. The resulting interactions are similar to those created by analgesic drugs and anti-inflammatory drugs. Examples of anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs include ibuprofen, anesthesia, oxycodone, tramadol, and fentanyl. Since some of the pharmaceutical drugs on this list are getting a reputation for being dangerous and causing social problems here in the United States, people are interested in whether or not kratom alkaloids might be a more natural way to create similar effects.

There are two main kratom alkaloids:

1. Mitragynine – Long believed to be the most important alkaloid in kratom (up until recent years), mitragynine has been demonstrated to bind with opioid receptors in the human body. These interactions have been documented by researchers and published by The Journal of the American Osteopathic Association.
2. 7-Hydroxymitragynine – Within the last several years, we’ve seen information indicating that 7-hydroxymitragynine might actually be the single most important kratom alkaloid. Those researchers published in The Journal of the American Osteopathic Association have said that this alkaloid has a special biochemical structure that allows it to interact with the human body quickly. Perhaps even more importantly, they write that 7-hydroxymitragynine has “13- and 46-fold higher potency than morphine and mitragynine, respectively.”

Types of Godfather Extracts Capsules

• Godfather Special Extract No. 1 – This is our pure 45% MIT Godfather extract. One capsule is equivalent to about four through six grams of regular kratom powder. In other words, the alkaloids in this kratom make it so that the amount required is much lower. Someone who wants typically to have roughly five grams of kratom powder might think that a single capsule full of the extract is just as good. For another example, people who normally think two grams of kratom powder is a good amount might only be interested in half of the GF extract cap. • Godfather X Special Extract No. 2 – This is our pure 80% MIT Godfather extract.
